Who would have thought that the owner would start a trend world wide? The owner was born in Taipei, Taiwan and moved to Westfield, NJ, attending middle school and high school there. He worked three jobs: delivering newspapers in the morning, working at a fast food Chinese restaurant franchise in the afternoon, and delivering pizzas for another franchise in the evening. He attended Fairleigh Dickinson University and when he graduated with his bachelors, he returned to Taiwan to run his father’s cafe in Taichung. Unfortunately the cafe did not work out, but with his knowledge and experience, he conceptualized Lattea. Lattea started in Kaohsiung with two stores expanding all over Taiwan, China, Malaysia and more. Now, the owner has passed on the calculated measurements and secret recipe to his cousin who will bring this authentic Tawainese experience stateside.

A little history about his cousin in New Jersey – he has a strong passion for food and exotic tastes. He helped create a true Asian Fusion menu at an eatery in Central NJ, incorporating many different spices and flavors into the dishes he formulates in his head. As his business grew he began to network with people and eventually came up with the idea of Fusion Tea Lounge with a few partners. This is derived from Lattea and the over 20 years in business and the NJ eatery, giving birth to Fusion Tea Lounge.

Fusion Tea Lounge will consist the best of both worlds – all the unique drinks from Lattea and in addition the creativi-tea concoctions from the cousins. In addition they will be adding small Asian Fusion tapas to complement each beverage. Fusion Tea Lounge focuses on three main components:

1- Fresh food and drinks
2- Clean atmosphere
3- Great customer service

Fusion Tea Lounge will receive all their tea from Lattea in Taiwan. Lattea has been partnered with the number one tea distributor in Taiwan for Oolong Tea whom have grown to other tea leaves. Oolong Tea is one of the most difficult teas to perfect in order to deliver the exquisite aroma. Fusion Tea Lounge will strive to deliver the best experience.
